ADMISSION RULES

Admission is based on the result of the Matura examination (Polish secondary school leaving exam), the European Baccalaureate (EB) diploma, or the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma.

Preferred Matura subjects: Mathematics, Geography, History, Civic Education (Knowledge about Society)

Recruitment is conducted through the Online Candidate Registration System (IRK): https://irk.politechnika.koszalin.pl/en-gb/

To apply, candidates must:

  • Register in the IRK system
  • Pay the recruitment fee
  • Complete the required application data
  • Upload the required documents
  • Submit the original documents (after qualifying for studies)

Admission is conditional on meeting all recruitment requirements and obtaining a positive result in the qualification procedure.

English Language Requirement

Candidates must demonstrate English language proficiency at a minimum level of B2 (CEFR). This may be confirmed by one of the following:

a) A score of at least 50% on the extended-level English Matura exam or the bilingual Matura exam;

b) A recognized language certificate (in accordance with the list specified in the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education, issued under Article 70(5f) of the Law on Higher Education and Science);

c) A higher education diploma confirming at least Level 6 of the Polish Qualifications Framework (PQF), or a diploma supplement specifying the level of language proficiency achieved;

d) A language proficiency certificate issued by the higher education institution where the candidate completed a first-cycle (Bachelor's) or second-cycle (Master's) degree programme.

If a candidate does not hold any document confirming English proficiency, they must pass a language proficiency test administered by the Foreign Languages Centre of Koszalin University of Technology.
