Mr JERZY KIELAR, MA
During first three-year study period, the School provides compulsory
didactic physical training for students of all the KUT’s branches.
The programme covers, team games, tennis, table tennis, badminton, judo,
body-building, swimming, and various other sports.
In addition to compulsory training in physical education, for the
student-members of AZS (Academic Sporting Association), the School provides
supplementary opportunities in: netball, basketball, football/soccer,
handball, judo, table tennis, body-building, swimming, and tourism. In the
summer time, training for sailors and navigators is provided by a local
Yacht Club. Yachting camps are also organized in the summer, and skiing
camps in the winter time. Our best student sportsmen/women take part in a
variety of sporting events and competitions.
The School of Physical Education and Sport possesses very good conditions
for providing training in physical education and an extremely wide range of
sports. This is possible thanks to: • a sports hall with
places for observers, a sound amplification system,
and time measurement during matches/games,
• a climbing wall,
• two athletic/body-building stations, equipped with sets of Atlas equipment
for athletic training,
• a Finnish sauna,
• a fully equipped nautical hall to provide training in sailing,
• a sailing haven/wharf in Mielno, with shed and stage to moor the vessels,
• 14 sailing boats and 10 kayaks,
• an open-sea yacht,
• two tennis courts with a training wall. |
