STUDENTS’ SELF-GOVERNMENT
Students of the KUT enjoy self-government in the form of a Students’
Parliament. The Parliament represents students to the University
authorities. The Students’ Parliament consists of democratically elected
student-representatives from all Departments of the KUT.
The Students’ Parliament works in various boards: social, economic,
public-relations, and the board of control. The task of each board is to
prepare information materials, gather opinions, and conduct projects and to
present votes/resolutions to the Parliament.
The Parliament is the organizer of numerous cultural events of the
University and Koszalin city, such as: The Students’ Culture Week, and
Initiation.
Apart from cultural events, The Students’ Parliament also runs the Students’
Labour Market and Students’ Housing/ Accomodation Office, organizes
elections to the Students’ Council of Students’ Hostels, co-ordinates the
work of the Departmental Board for Students’ Aid and takes part in work
concerning the formulation of rules and procedures for the assignment of
financial aid to full-time students.
The Students’ Parliament co-operates with other universities regularly
taking active part in integration meetings, such as the Technical
Universities Forum, and the Students’ Parliament of the Polish Republic.
