The Main Library at the Koszalin University of Technology (KUT) provides didactic and scientific support for both the faculty and students of the University and acts as a scientific and technical library for the city and region.

Data bases, as well as the use of a system of bar codes in the circulating room/library, speed up the process of search and the checking out of books and articles. Moreover, the Library offers data bases on diskettes and CD ROM, including:

  • data bases prepared by the National Library: Bibliographic Guide, Bibliography of Periodicals’ Contents, Bibliography of New, Continued, Suspended, and Revised Title Publications,

  • information services: Professional Tax Service, Construction and Housing Law, Environment Protection Law, HR Service, Economic Activity, Polish Law,

  • periodicals bases: Current Contents – Physical, Chemical & Earth Sciences, Current Contents – Engineering, Computing & Technology,

  • bibliographic base ICONDA.

All staff members and students of the KUT can take advantage of the Library’s resources. Each student of the 1st year requires an ID Library card, which is issued after a short library training course.

Students of other universities as well as inhabitants of the city and region can take advantage of the Library’s collections in the reading room on site, and books may be borrowed after payment of a deposit.
