The Koszalin University of Technology/Politechnika
Koszalińska is the only technical university in the region of Central
Pomerania in Poland. It is located in a city of over 100,000 inhabitants in
an area of beautiful landscapes near the Baltic Sea, about 12 kilometres
from the coast with its clean sandy beaches. This region is part of “the
green lungs” of Poland. There are numerous forests with picturesque lakes in
an area of developing tourism, agriculture, food processing, and electronics
industries.
The Koszalin University of Technology provides academic and technical
education and is a leader in research in the disciplines generally connected

First BSc in engineering awarded
Introduction, by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, of 4.5-year
MSc-degrees in: Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Materials

First scientific doctor’s degree (PhD) in technical sciences conferred

First advanced doctor of science degrees conferred (DSc)

Restructuring of former Institutes into the Department of Civil and Sanitary

The Koszalin University of Technology joined the circle of the signatories of
Magna Charter Universitatum: Rector Mr. Krzysztof Wawryn, Professor,
participated in the ceremony of signing this document in Bologna in the
oldest university in the world.
