EU framework programmes

Programmes intended to strengthen the potential of science, to continuously improve the quality of research and innovativeness based on the latest scientific research and to strengthen competitiveness. These goals have been pursued since the year 2000.

UE Contact point of 6th EU Framework Programme

6th Framework Programme for Research, Technological Development and the Presentation of the European Union.
The Regional Contact Point serves to implement 6PR in collaboration with the staff of the Koszalin University of Technology and people in the area of Middle Pomerania.
Activities under 6PR are coordinated by the Vice-Rector of Science

Projects are being implemented in the following scopes: support of the Region’s participation in 5th/6th PR in accordance with the strategy: “Use of 5th/6th Framework Programme and Other Programmes in Regional Development”. The town of Koszalin constitutes the Centre.
The instruments to realize the Project are as follows: information, trainings, consultations, promotion of regional progress in the global context. Scientific conferences are organized in order to present the attractiveness of the region and to attract partners. Cooperation with the Secretariat Office of the Innovative Regions of Europe is in progress, as well as cooperation with selected regions, and in particular:

  • cooperation within the framework of the pan-European Gate2Growth Incubator Forum: exchange of experience during workshops and trainings of the staff which manages the incubators,
  • participation in the European Excellence Network connected with the development of European industries (Complex Metallic Alloys),
  • participation in evaluations of 5./6.PR projects.
